Faysal A. Sohail, Managing Director, CMEA Ventures
Faysal Sohail joined CMEA Ventures in 2002 as a Managing Director. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Applied Wave Research, Catalytic, Inovys Corporation, Pyxis Technology, Symwave, and Telsima; and Faysal previously served on the board of Alien Technology. Mr. Sohail brings with him more than a decade of senior executive experience in engineering, marketing and business development. He was CEO of Cadabra Design Automation and managed its acquisition by Numerical Technologies (NMTC) where he served as Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations. Prior to Numerical Technologies, Faysal was Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Synopsys Inc. (SNPS). In 1990, he co-founded Silicon Architects, which was acquired by Synopsys in 1995. Earlier in his career, Faysal spent several years in IC design engineering and marketing positions with Actel Corporation (ACTL) and LSI Logic Corporation (LSI). Mr. Sohail holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), where he also served on the College of Engineering Advisory Board (CEAB), and is Chairman of the Board of the San Jose Education Foundation.

Aurangzeb Khan
Aurangzeb is presently engaged in several entrepreneurial activities, including joining the Multigig Board of Directors coincident with the series B round in February 2008. He served as the Corporate Vice President for the Strategic Planning Group at Cadence through February 2008, and earlier, as CVP/GM for the Design Services business, joining Cadence through its acquisition of Simplex Solutions (for $300M) in June 2002. Previously, he was EVP/GM of the SoC Design Foundry business at Simplex. He co-founded Altius Solutions and served as its' President and CEO, merging with Simplex Solutions and contributing to a successful initial public offering (IPO) in May 2001 (NASD: SPLX).
Over the past 28 years, Aurangzeb has contributed in engineering and general management positions at Cadence, Simplex, Cirrus Logic, Tandem Computers (now part of HP) and Fairchild. He has helped deliver several industry-first systems and ICs to market, including the Sony GSRI-32 and PlayStationR2 Graphics Synthesizers, the Cirrus Logic 3CiT SOC and the NonStopT HimalayaT and CycloneT series of massively-parallel servers. Several products achieved $200M to $2B in annual revenues.
Aurangzeb received an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University, and a double-major B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and Nuclear Engineering from U.C. Berkeley. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from Government College, University of the Punjab, where he stood first in class and received the Academic Roll of Honor.
Joseph Miller, Managing Director, Europlay Capital Advisors From 1998 to 2003 Mr. Miller was a Senior Vice President of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin’s Entertainment & Media Industries Group. While at Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Miller serviced such clients as Warner Bros., EMI Group Plc., Chrysalis Music, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks, Village Roadshow, Alliance Atlantis Communications, and Constantin Film among dozens of other clients. Mr. Miller has expertise in music, film, television, broadcasting and enabling technologies. Prior to joining HoulihanLokey, Mr. Miller was Vice President, Corporate Development at Alliance Communications Corporation, Canada’s largest producer and distributor of filmed entertainment. During his four years at Alliance, Mr. Miller was integral to Alliance’s worldwide expansion and was involved in various mergers, acquisitions, securities offerings and strategic planning. Other entertainment industry experience includes three years as a financial officer of New Visions Entertainment Corporation, as well as long-term consulting arrangements at both Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros.

Jai Hakhu, Senior Advisor, Golden Gate Capital, President and CEO of RC International –In April 2007 Mr. Hakhu was hired as senior advisor for San Francisco-based private equity firm Golden Gate Capital. Golden Gate Capital owns two semiconductor related companies: Vistec Semiconductor Systems, formerly Leica Microsystem's Semiconductor Equipment Division; and Teridian, formerly TDK America. Mr. Hakhu sits on the boards of both Vistec and Teridian.
Previously Mr. Hakhu was Corporate Vice President and General Manager, Technology Manufacturing Engineering at Intel. He was responsible for worldwide capital development and procurement, automation, training, strategic research, manufacturing and operational decision support for the Corporation. He also managed the Technology and Manufacturing Group in Japan. Mr. Hakhu first joined Intel in 1997 as Director of Intel Tooling Operations, where his responsibilities included Intel Mask Operations and Intel Test Tooling. Prior to joining Intel, Mr. Hakhu worked in the semiconductor industry for 18 years as a technical and business manager, of which included Vice President of Rockwell International and Vice President of Varian Semiconductors.
Mr. Hakhu has served on the faculty of the University of Roorkee, India; University of California, Irvine; and California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Hakhu earned a bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math and English from J&K University in India; a bachelor's degree in Electronics Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science; a master's degree in Solid State Electronics from the University of Roorkee in India; and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.

Michael Canning, President and CEO of Multigig, Inc.
Dr. Canning has more than four decades of experience in the Semiconductor Industry, the last 25 years in Executive Management positions and the last 10 as CEO of Public and Private Companies. Most recently, he was President & CEO of SiRF Technology, where he managed a successful IPO in 2004 and grew the company rapidly to a $400M revenue run rate. Prior to that, he was President & CEO of Stream Machine, a digital video recording startup which was acquired by Cirrus Logic Inc. Prior to Stream Machine he spent 12 years at Cirrus Logic, starting as a member of the founding executive team and leaving after the company had reached more than $1B in revenue. As Executive VP Operations, he was responsible for pioneering a new concept called “Fabless” Manufacturing, which is now standard practice in the industry. As President of the Mass Storage Division, he created a profitable $300-400M business providing storage chips for magnetic and optical storage applications. He has also served as President of Teledyne Semiconductor and in Engineering and R&D positions at Signetics/Philips, Commodore/MOS Technology, Intersil and Texas Instruments. Dr. Canning holds an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, a Ph.D. (EE) from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and a BSc(EE) from the University of Durham.
